Asus GTX980 Strix OC Review

To overclock today we are using the latest V4.0.0 of MSI's Afterburner based on the excellent Rivatuner. overclocking

The reference Nvidia GTX980 exhibited a lot of headroom, but the ASUS GTX980 Strix OC almost hit a boost speed of 1,500mhz! These video cards are clocked high out of the box, but our specific sample had another 17.1% available.

After manually overclocking the Asus GTX980 Strix OC the increase in performance was very noticeable. We almost hit 21,000 points in the graphics test of 3DMark 11 – our highest yet for a single GPU.
